ESCL is a steering column locking device, which is mainly composed of a lock lever, a camshaft, a lock block, an unlock lever and an unlock button.

The main function of the steering column lock is that when the driver pulls out the key from the keyhole, the steering column will be locked by the lock lever. Like this, even if the thief starts the engine, the vehicle still cannot turn, so there is still no way to drive.

Features of the steering column lock:

1. Avoid locking the steering column due to a response without a vehicle certificate;

2. Unlock the steering column after passing the car certification;

3. The electronic steering column lock monitors the position of the deadbolt through a sensor to lock and unlock the steering column.

Trigger condition for steering column lock:

1. The driver's door is closed and opened or the central lock is closed;

2. Speed signal ≤1km/h;

3. The engine speed is invalid;

4. The state of IGN1 in the relay box is OFF;

5. The energy supply mode of PEPS is OFF;

6. There is nothing wrong with the internal self-test.

How to solve ESCL unlock failure:
